The Katty Shack 5K/1 Mile Walk/Run to benefit The Crime Victim Foundation is scheduled for April 29, 2017 We are excited and grateful to bring this race again to Grand Haven.  The race headquarters will be stationed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 527 Taylor Ave.  Start is at the corner of Taylor & Wisconsin Ave. and the finish is on Marion.

Katty Shack Run 2011 bib numbersIt is a beautiful route with a wonderful view of Lake Michigan. After racers finish the run participants & volunteers will be treated to a free PANCAKE BREAKFAST, thank you captured memories by ejk, held at St. John’sLutheran Church, 527 Taylor, Ave.  At that time we will draw for door prizes and have our awards ceremony.

Event Schedule, Saturday, April 29th:

  • Jazzercise w/Jennifer Juhasz:  8:00 – 8:30 AM @ the START
  • Pre-race Ceremony:  8:45 AM @ the START
  • 5K Run/Walk:  9:00 AM,  START@ corner of Taylor & Wisconsin
  • 1 Mile Run/Walk:  shortly after the 5K begins.
  • Awards Ceremony & FREE Pancake breakfast:  10:00 AM

Awards:

The overall 5K male & female winners and male & female masters will receive special awards and three deep in the following age categories: 10 and under,11-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+.

Race Fee:

$20.00/participant until February 28th; $25.00/participant March 1st until April 27th, Group Rate ( 3+ family members, running groups, or at the same place of business) $20.00/participant; late/day of registration $30.00/participant, no group rate given.
